Sister Sara Davis: Once Upon a Mission in Russia

One talk down, eighteen months worth to go. It's crazy how fast time has gone, yet how long it seems that I have waited for this moment. I am thrilled to enter into the MTC this Wednesday, yet at the same time, it is just sinking in on what I am leaving behind. I have the best support system in the world. Friends and family from all over showed up, and I am forever grateful for each and everyone of them in every way. Though I know it is not goodbye, I realized just how long a see ya later can appear to be. Though I will miss them all, there is no other place where I feel I should be, and there is no other place my Father in Heaven wants me. As much as I love my family and friends here, I love the people of Russia just as much. I just need to get over their to help them know it.

My name is Sara Lucille Davis. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Starting February 25, 2015, I will leave my family, friends, Captain America collection, and all other securities behind me. My eighteen month mission: to serve as an ambassador of the Lord Jesus Christ, seek out those who have yet to hear of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to boldly serve where I have never served before. I will be preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Russia. Yes, I will be rejected, the days will be long, and I will be stretched to my maximum limit, but I know somewhere out there someone needs me, and that through Christ, nothing is impossible.
